What do you do with your engagement ring during the wedding ceremony if it doesn’t fit on your right hand?

evansjm1 asked:

My right hand is slightly bigger than my left and so my engagement ring does not fit on my right hand. When this is the case, what do you do with your engagement ring during the wedding ceremony if it doesn’t fit on your right hand?

  1. Go down empty handed and put the the engagement ring with the other ring. When he slides it on your hand, have him hold them both in his fingers.

If this sounds too complicated, have your MOH hold it, and give it to you after the ceremony.

Or… you can just wear it, he can slip the ring on–and then you can flip them around after the ceremony.

  2. You can always give it to the groom beforehand to be placed on your finger along with the wedding band, or give it to the maid of honor, or mom, etc. until after the ceremony and then slip it on afterward.

  3. Let your matron of honor hold your ring until the wedding is done and then place it back on your ring finger, or have your hubby put both rings on your finger during the wedding

  4. I wore mine down the aisle & he added the wedding band to the finger during the ceremony.

  5. Have someone hold it. You can have your MOH hold it during the ceremony or maybe your mother. Pick someone you trust to hold it in their purse or pocket.

  6. My mother held mine… Your maid of honor can handle the task too.

  7. Wear it on the pinky finger of your right hand. You only need to slip it on just before you head up the aisle and you can move it over to your left hand as the pastor is talking after you get your wedding ring.

  8. I had my father who walked me down the aisle hold on to it through the ceremony and I put it on as soon as we walked out of the church ceremony.

  9. I would have your MOH hold it.

What my groom did was slip the wedding ring on my left hand and took my engagement ring off my right hand and slipped it back on. He then had kissed both rings to seal the deal. He is a strong believer in always sealing things with a kiss.

  10. You can have your mother or your maid of honor hold it. Or you can give it to the best man (or whoever will have your wedding ring) and then your husband can put both on at the same time.
